Founded by business people and politicians, the Latin American Association has been committed to providing an international network and an information platform for those interested in Latin America for over 100 years. The undisputed goal of the association is to promote relationships and the transfer of knowledge between Germany and the Latin American cultural sphere. When it became evident in early 2020 that on-site events were no longer possible, the concept had to be changed. The LAV managing director was already familiar with meetyoo’s digital events. His positive experiences prompted the association to opt for a virtual conference as an alternative.
